The foot operated foot pedal is used to switch a high pressure liquid source (normally a high pressure pump) to hydraulic systems with remote control by electric signal. Foot pedal switches are used wherever the high pressure machine operator must have free hands for a process-related activity or where application of the device excludes work with a high-pressure gun (eg pipework cleaning and sewerage with a rotating nozzle that is attached directly to the high pressure hose).
High-pressure guns are designed for selected high-pressure cleaning machines and high-pressure systems with remote controls to interrupt the supply of pressurized water.

The control of the high-pressure control system itself is realized through a capacitive sensor located in the switch pedal. Foot switch (non-shut-off valve) is used in conjunction with electro-pneumatic lifting of valves or with an electropneumatic 3/2-way valve.
