High pressure unit for pumping crude oil up to 90°C from storage tanks to the oil pipeline, constant speed and under high pressure. The pumping units with the three plunger pumps centrifugal ones were built into containers ISO 20" and had to meet the conditions for hazardous areas and explosive atmospheres (ATEX).
The high-pressure pumping unit is assembled into an insulated shipping container that is heat resistant due to the pumped medium (crude oil). Due to the pumping of high-temperature oil, it was necessary to divide the container hermetically into two parts and ensure active and passive ventilation to prevent of an explosive atmosphere.
In the one part of the container (machine part) was built a high-pressure pump unit with the three plunger pump, centrifugal pumps and special filtres. The whole machine part is designed for explosion-proof environment in ATEX design, allowing to pump crude oil. In the second part of the container there is primarily a control system that monitors the operating conditions of the mobile pumping station and it allows various possibilities of controlling the operation of the three plunger pump. The system is programmed to maintain the required pressure in the outlet oil pipeline, eventually maintaining the required amount of oil in the reservoir tanks, and adapting to changing oil production conditions. Due to the permanent - year round operation - pumping of the crude oil, it was necessary to think about heating and air-conditioning of high-pressure pumping unit and container.
The AQL 50 high pressure plunger pump was made in a special explosion-proof design (ATEX) and to maintain pumping crude oil up to 90°C. The high-pressure pump units contain centrifugal pumps DP PUMPS (stainless steel vertical multistage pumps) as a low-pressure feeding pumps and a filtration system, which has to retain all mechanical purities and oversized contaminants.
